We apply RNA sequencing technology to decipher the molecular profile of healthy and
diseased ocular tissues providing new insights into pathophysiology and disease-related
processes. These data allow us to identify novel diagnostic and prognostic biomarkers,
as well as potential targets for new therapeutic options.
We developed the Human Eye Transcriptome Atlas as a web-based transcriptome database offering users
the ability to intuitively explore the transcriptional profiles of diverse healthy
and diseased human ocular tissues without bioinformatic expertise.
